      I.     

I reserve the right, as do you, to reject a roleplay idea or to terminate a roleplay at any time. that being said, i think i’m pretty good at communicating my discomfort with an idea before it gets to the point where i have to end the storyline all together. i really only feel the need to that when i have to repeatedly ask for someone to respect my limits/boundaries.

      II.     

i do my best to tag triggers as i post them but here are some reoccurring, canon typical, triggers that will be discussed frequently (if any of these trigger you or make you uncomfortable, feel free to end our interactions, soft block or mute me. i will not be offended!)TRIGGER WARNINGS — (I) alcohol use & occasional abuse. often mentioned in a causal / light manner. (II) canon typical violence / gore, language and mature themes. (III) candid discussions & descriptions of relations that run parallel to real life racism and classism. (IV) mentions of sexual assault & miscarriages. (IV) more to come .. !

      III.     

I started off role playing in multi para / novella forums (15+ paragraphs, 10-20k words) so i do tend to write long starters and replies! i have seriously never cared if lengths match as long as I can see that there’s some effort in the reply and I have something to work off of for my next reply. I also think that most roleolays will have fluctuating moments of high action, where longer replies come more naturally with less dialogue, and other times where replies are more dialogue heavy with little to no action written. I cannot stress this enough, do, say and write what feels natural for your character. Misty & I can take it, I promise! be insulting, shy, combative, sweet, whatever.

      IV.     

don’t hesitate to tag me in starters, memes, banter or dm me in/out of character. if you want to ‘spice’ up our storyline by adding in some angst, drama, violence, romance, feel free! don’t feel pressure to stick to the original agreed upon plot and certainly don’t water down your character to better suit said plot. this also included things like accidental injuries, arguments, and (in some specific cases) assault/murder. to me, a plot is more like a general framework to get us going in the right direction, not a roleplay law. all that to say; im easy going! im 10000% down to just go with the flow.

standard roleplay rules apply. no controlling misty or pushing headcanons onto her / my portrayal. if you’re not sure about something, contact me ooc to ask. [ pushing, to me, goes beyond throwing something into a plot for the sake of keeping it interesting but rather telling the story of my character in a way that contradicts how I write them. ]

a note for minor admins this isn’t technically a MDNI (minors do not interact) account but i also do not wish to make anyone uncomfortable. mature themes do come up often on this account (see triggers list) including silly sex jokes and risqué pictures (but never porn). overall, i am not opposed to writing with minors (PG / platonic stuff) but i understand if minor writers aren’t interested in interacting with me.

COMBAT misty knight is well-versed in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat, even without her police combat training. she’s an excellent shot, her weapon of choice being a GLOCK G17 Gen5 9mm since that’s what she trained with as a detective. she has an inquisitive eye and a near photographic memory. “misty knight was provided a bionic right arm by tony stark after losing her right arm in the line of duty… her bionic arm allows her to exert force 75 times stronger than an average human, which can be used by gripping, punching, lifting and throwing, among others.”she has a few different prosthetic arms, usually only carrying her basic combat arm with her and the rest being stored with the rest of her weapons. one of her arms is “made of diamond interlaced with antarctic vibranium… due to its construction the arm emits vibrations that disrupt metallic bonds thus making it capable of liquifying most metals on contact, with not even adamantium being immune. the only known exceptions to this anti metal property are … the special vibranium alloy present in captain america’s shield.”POWERS IN AUs given her powers during a series of risky experiments at the authorization of valentina allegra de fontaine. the full range of her powers and strength is unknown, though she knows that, with some honing, she could become a truly powerful superhero. fire / heat, generation & manipulation can both ignite and extinguish ( most ) fires at will. can project intense rays of heat and blue - colored flames from her person ( hair, palms, the soles of her feet, etc ). she assumes that, like one johnny storm, she could use said powers to fly but has yet to crack the exact momentum and flame needed to do so. how much heat can misty withstand? according to the studies that she’s done within the safety of a makeshift outdoor laboratory, up to, at least 10,000 degrees fahrenheit (5,537.78 degrees celsius). & with an unknown immunity to heat and fire, she also has a enhanced sensitivity to enclosed spaces ( she believes this has something to do with her lungs, how much oxygen she’s able to take in, though she’s not 100% sure).

MANNERISMS maintains strong eye contact, gestures emphatically and often. she stands at an arms length from most ( the closer she feels to one emotionally, the closer she will physically place herself ). she zhuzh’s her appearance often, applying and reapplying lipstick/lipgloss or gently fluffing or combing out her afro. when she’s not speaking, her eyes and lips tend to move as if she was. her mind is always running at a million miles a minute. you can catch her frowning just as often as you can smiling, and the change can happen in a second. she keeps herself neat & clean, well groomed; a reflection of her upbringing. that being said, she’s not above getting bloody or muddy to win a fight. misty carries herself with confidence, with straight posture and a melodic voice. she uses pet names often, “honey”, “sugar”, “baby”, etc. the closer she is to someone the more unique they become (“fuzzball”, “deedee”, etc.). anyone significantly younger than her will automatically be “honeybunny” or “kiddo”. she carries a packed pocketbook with her always, umbrellas, vaseline, spare earrings, snacks, road flares — you name it; she’s got it.
